HAMPTON BAYS — The San Gennaro Feast of the Hamptons returns to Good Ground Road on Sept. 12 and 13, bringing two days of Italian food, live entertainment, family activities, vendors and fireworks to downtown Hampton Bays.
The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Organizers say the event typically attracts 35,000 to 40,000 people over the weekend and is designed to celebrate Italian-American culture while bringing visitors into Hampton Bays beyond the traditional summer season.
Saturday’s schedule includes a fireworks display at 8:15 p.m., along with live entertainment and festival activities throughout the day.
The feast is organized by San Gennaro Feast of the Hamptons Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Its official materials say the organization supports local charitable efforts and community programs, including fundraising for Maureen’s Haven and scholarship initiatives for local schools.
The event will again feature a midway with carnival rides and games, along with food vendors, Italian specialties and family-oriented programming. Organizers describe the feast as one of Hampton Bays’ signature post-summer events.
The festival takes place on Good Ground Road near the Hampton Bays Long Island Rail Road station.
