FREEPORT, NY — Hip-hop artist Dinco D is set to take center stage in Freeport on October 12 for a special album listening party presented by MilitaryGrindConcerts as part of its The Stories Behind the Songs series.
The event, titled “Stop Russian to Judgement Album Listening Party,” will be hosted by Terrell Blair and is scheduled to run from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at 10 Brooklyn Avenue in Freeport.
According to the event flyer, the night will spotlight Dinco D’s Stop Russian to Judgement project while also recognizing the legacy of Leaders of the New School and the 33rd anniversary of the group’s second album, T.I.M.E.: The Inner Mind’s Eye.
The combination of a listening party and retrospective format gives the event a broader focus than a traditional album release gathering. With Blair serving as host, The Stories Behind the Songs presentation is positioned to give attendees context around both Dinco D’s current work and the music that helped establish his place in hip-hop history.
Dinco D was a member of Leaders of the New School, the Long Island-rooted hip-hop group that emerged during the early 1990s and became known for its energetic delivery and distinctive group chemistry.
The October event brings that history into the present by placing the new project alongside T.I.M.E., connecting Dinco D’s current creative work with a major chapter from his earlier career.
